From humble beginnings to a collection of hotels, restaurants and bars
In the early 1990s, a small takeaway window opens opposite the Astronomical Clock on Old Town Square. At the same time, under the direction of Petr Bauer Sr., a new chapter of the restaurant at U Prince begins to take shape.

For us, the “golden nineties” were golden in every sense. Following the opening of the first small eatery, Zlatý Strom restaurant is established, soon followed by a music club that becomes a prominent part of Prague’s nightlife.
Over time, the U Zlatého Stromu hotel is added, and the building evolves into a connected space of gastronomy, entertainment and accommodation - shaping the identity Zlatý Strom holds to this day.

The story returns to where it began. At U Prince building, a hotel opens, accompanied by the rooftop Terasa U Prince - a restaurant with direct views of Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock and the towers of the Church of Our Lady before Týn.
From here, the panorama of the historic centre unfolds in full, changing throughout the day. The terrace becomes a place known not only for dining, but for one of the most distinctive views in Prague.

At a time when the mojito defined much of the bar scene, Black Angel’s Bar arrived with something entirely different - an exciting, mysterious world of professional mixology. It helped shape the direction of bars in Prague and across the Czech Republic, and within five years ranked among the world’s top 10 hotel bars. Since then, it has upheld the standard that made it famous.

The beginning of the five-star story of Iron Gate Hotel & Suites
Just a short walk from Old Town Square, Iron Gate Hotel & Suites opens its doors in 2016. A unique space where history is present in every detail - from rare frescoes to Renaissance painted ceilings.
In 2017, Deer Restaurant begins its operation on the ground floor.

The family of venues expanded with an exceptional multifunctional event space for conferences, celebrations, and weddings in the centre of Prague. With capacity for up to 150 guests and the support of an experienced team, every event is delivered with complete service.

Zlatý Strom has undergone a significant transformation over the years, both in its interior and overall concept. Today, the space is shaped as a multi-level club with several bars and zones, creating a dynamic atmosphere throughout the evening.
In 2008, the original disco evolved into a music club, and in 2024 into a modern bar and club with a strong focus on unique design.
